MEET BUBBLES!
Have you ever heard the saying that goes something like “You’re so cute I just want to bite you?” Meet Bubbles…the super cute cat who wants to bite you (but not too hard)! This 10+ year old gal is gorgeous with her calico markings and stunning face. She’s a tiny girl too, but man, does she have a BIG personality! Bubbles was brought to the shelter by a person who didn’t say much about her or share any of her story which is sad. The shelter found she had some medical issues, so they promoted her to rescue so she could get the medical help she needed.
We brought Bubbles home and right away saw that her ears were a mess…and her digestive system wasn’t too great either. After having diagnostics done, it was determined that Bubbles has clogged follicles in her ears that can cause discomfort. She also was diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) which is pretty common in older cats. Luckily for us, she eats EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN so her twice daily doses of prednisolone tucked in a pill pocket goes down easy peasy! Her digestive system has calmed down, she’s gained some weight, and she is much more comfy.
Bubbles currently lives with cats (a lot of them!) and they aren’t her favorite. She would do fine with another cat as long as they don’t get up in her business, but she might be happier as an only cat. She is a lap cat, a head butter, and a work-from-home helper, all on her terms. A typical calico, Bubbles is sweet and salty at the same time. She loves to sleep on your lap and get a few pets, but then she lets you know that petting time is done and she’d like to just lay quietly on your lap WITHNOTOUCHINGPLEASEANDTHANKYOU. She can get swatty when things don’t go her way (we totally get it, Bubbs…we get swatty when things don’t go our way too) and she can get mouthy (but not dangerously so) if you don’t stop touching her when she makes it clear it’s time to stop. Bubbles only has one top tooth so the mouthiness isn’t much of a problem, but because she is a sassy pants, she should go to a cat savvy home without young kids. She’s super easy to read but kids might not pick up on her signals and therefore end up with a swat. Bubbs is also quite the conversationalist. She will also carry on long conversations with you while you prepare dinner or get ready for work in the morning. She is a crack up!
We love her spicy attitude and we know that the right home is out there…one that has way less cats than she is currently tolerating! So if you are looking for a lap cat who isn’t a fan of lots of attention (sounds like a contradiction but describes her perfectly), then Bubbles is your girl. Want more information? Get in touch!
