Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Foster family needed!
Ginger was adopted as a puppy by her foster family. Her parents divorced and her mom works very long hours and she was sitting at home in the kennel far too many hours. It was a hard decision but the right one for Ginger, and her littermate Gilligan. Both dogs were loved, pampered, and well cares for throughout their lives.
Ginger is available for adoption now. Her brother has some medical problems and will remain in the rescue until they are figured out. Ginger gets along with Gilligan but is not bonded so will happily adjust to her new family. Ginger loves a walk and the dog park. She is a loving happy friendly girl who would be a great fit for a family with or without another dog. She can be a little picky about her doggy playmayes so introduction is a must. She gives tons of kisses and is an energetic active girl. She will do well with children but due to her size we recommend those used to large dogs or ages 5 and up. She might accidentally bump over a toddler. Ginger is house, crate and leash trained. She would love an active family, but is happy to wait at home for them to get there. Ginger is perfect in every way except she cannot live with no matter the training any other animals besides dogs. She has a strong prey drive and will keep your yard cat, bird, rabbit, squirrel, mouse and chicken free and will think your guinea pig and chinchilla are tasty treats. She will bark to alert you to someone coming to your house but is more likely to kiss them than guard your home from an intruder. Ginger is 80 lbs and is approximately 10-15 lbs overweight so she would love someone to give her the exercise she needs to slim down to a healthy weight!
All dogs adopted are spayed/neutered, vaccinated including Rabies if over 14 weeks, microchipped, fecal tested, heart-worm tested if over 7 mo at arrival, flea/heartworm/tick preventative given monthly. Dogs are in foster homes in various locations but we are located in Columbia, TN. All dogs can be transported for free to adopters in the US and Canada.
