RESCUING BABE

Babe, formerly known as Two Face, was brought into an emergency veterinary clinic in mid-May 2020 due to some difficulty urinating. She was catheterized, treated and given medicine, but her owner never came back for her. Allegedly, her owner was a rapper, arrested on murder charges. After the vet filed abandonment paperwork, Babe was surrendered to us and got her freedom ride on June 2, 2020. At the emergency clinic, she was put on antibiotics and two other medications for urinary issues. She is urinating on her own just fine and is heartworm negative.

ABOUT BABE

Babe has most likely lived a sheltered life and wasn't exposed and socialized as she should have been.  She is used to her foster parents and has earned their trust but can still be weary of new people, strangers and being put in new situations.  Once she is comfortable with you she will love you to death.  Due to her skepticism with new people, Babe will need an adult only, pit bull savvy home that will take the necessary steps and precautions to make her comfortable when meeting new people.  A quiet home would do best.  She does well with the dogs in her foster home and has even been to doggy daycare and done well.

Babe is crate trained and housebroken.  She would benefit from a home that can give her the time she needs to get used to a new family.  She is just adorable and we know there is a family out there for her.  A foster-to-adopt trial is available for any interested families.  We would also be interested in helping her find a new foster home that can continue to work with her and get her out into the world to work on her confidence.

Our adoption fee is $300. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.  If you are interested in meeting Babe, learning more about her or adopting her please go to our website and complete an Adoption Application at:   https://www.friendstotheforlorn.org/adoption-application/

More about this rescue

Friends to the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue is a 501 c 3 no-kill, charitable organization dedicated to the care of homeless, unwanted, abused, and neglected pitbulls, particularly those who are considered hard to place or with special needs. All dogs under our care are provided with food, shelter, veterinary care, as well as basic house-training and obedience until placement is found. Veterinary care provided will ensure that the dog is in general good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

Additionally,"Friends to the Forlorn" Pitbull Rescue Inc. takes pride in educating the public in the importance of proper and responsible pitbull ownership, spaying & neutering, as well as the humane care and treatment of all animals.
