My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ ALL OF WRITE UP

Bogart, “Bogie,” is just about five years old. The first four years of his life were spent in a puppy mill. When Bogie came to Maine he stole the hearts of his adoptive family before they even met him.......With all rescue dogs it takes awhile for their true nature to shine through. It took Bogie awhile to accept life inside of a house, outside of a cage, with people and other animals.

95% of the time Bogie is sweet and relaxed and entertaining. He is not a fan of the outdoors, but does enjoy trips to the beach.

Over time his family has come to realize that Bogie would be better served in a home without children, and probably even a home without other dogs. His quirky personality, and maybe even, developmental delays find him overwhelmed at times. When he becomes overwhelmed he gets a little nutty. He has some food aggression and will snap over food. Especially other dogs being fed.

Bogie needs a quiet home with little activity. He would enjoy a home where he can come and go from the food bowl as he pleases.

His current family is truly heart broken to come to this decision, but understand that Bogie deserves his best life. When Bogie gets overwhelmed he will strike out. He doesn’t do it often but has nipped on a few occasions. Bogart needs a quiet loving home who can deal with his crazy outbursts. He will give back 100 times over.

Adoption fee is $425
