My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dory!!!!

Dory, 11 months old, wire hair terrier chihuahua mix. She is by far the sweetest, most quiet, patient, ever so loving little girl. Dory was a owner surrender, a family with over 40 plus cats & dogs in not the best shape, flea infested, 0 vetting, not even enough pet food for all much less proper care. We patiently worked with the family as they surrendered dogs and cats to us. Dory, puppies, and Lola all came from same house hold as well as 20 plus kittens and moms.

Dory is learning leash manners, we are 100% crate and house train, she lives for snuggles and cuddles but is not pushy or bossy. Dory is great with kids and has been around them as young as 6 months but maybe older kids is best as she is just 6 # and so little.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!!!

Dory 11 month old wire hair terrier chihuahua mix. Great with cats, dogs, human and children. Shes easy and mellow and very well trained. She is amazing!!!! Once fearful feral like, now very well balance outgoing and so well mannered. Very food motivated as well. Shes learned all her basic obedience training and if not asked to join us in bed or furniture she will not. She knows her place and will go there when told and stays until released. We are working on leash training followed by off leash recall. We would loved to see Dory placed in a home that enjoys daily walks, outings, other pets in the home is a must. She deserves more than just a fenced in yard. She loves all human affection and interaction but is not demanding or rude or needy. Dory came from a hoarding situation. To many uncared for pets. All had health issues, all flea covered, skin issues, fearful, underweight and malnourished.... we can go on and on but we wont. Dory is a super star when visiting nursing homes and she enjoys doing so.

Training is an ongoing process that has to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities show up daily that have to be addressed and/or rewarded. Continuing training is a must.
