My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sir Harvey and Woodstock!

Are you looking for a sweet inseparable pair? Look no further. These two are energetic and affectionate. They enjoy playing and snuggling together and spend most of their time together. They meet in their foster home after Sir Harvey was rescued from a West Texas Shelter. The 2 become the best of friends and are inseparable.

Sir Harvey has markings similar to a Turkish Van. He has an all white body with colored tails and patches on his head. He is super sweet and gentle. His bff Woodstock is a beautiful silver tabby. Woodstock is energetic and affectionate. Both enjoy interactive playtime and play hard. They enjoy attention and lots of pets when taking a break from playtime.

Sir Harvey's estimated DOB is 7/11/18
Woodstock's estimated DOB is 1/15/19

Sir Harvey is FIV+. What does that mean? A cat who tests positive for FIV will usually still have a strong immune system for several years after infection, it is only over time that the effects of the virus may start to show, and even then, most infections can be treated with the appropriate medications. With love and good care however, many FIV+ cats can live normal lifespans. These days, it’s not unusual to find FIV+ cats reaching 15 years or more.

FIV is transmitted to other felines primarily through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Casual contact of cats living in the same household does not spread the virus. There seems no reason, therefore, not to have friendly FIV positive and negative cats in the same household.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are a foster based rescue and all our kitties live with their foster families until they find their furever homes. We get to know our kitties and can answer questions regarding behaviors and personality.

Our adoption process is a little different than a traditional shelter. We ask that potential adopters complete an application and brief phone screen. Meet and greets are scheduled at our adoption events or with the foster.

More about this rescue

Our group's founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.
