Arya and her siblings didn't have a comfortable start to life but Mokan intervened to give them all the happy 'tales' they deserve. Approximately 7 months old, Arya is painfully shy. No, really. But once this girl opens up, watch out! You'll have a typical playful puppy on your hands before you know it.
During her weeks in foster care she has conquered potty training, mastered several commands, enjoys nightly snoozes in her crate, and has let her personality shine. She's smart, enjoys learning, and especially loves antagonizing her foster brother. Other favorites include: pouncing on and catching bugs, people watching out the front window, napping like a rockstar, sitting for treats, sounding the alert at potential threats (Fedex drivers, mostly) and being a permanent shadow to her foster brother.
To set Arya up for success in her new home her permanent family must be patient, knowing it might take several weeks to start establishing trust in the home. They must be willing to help socialize her, as her shyness and social anxiety will take quite some time to overcome. Given the bond she has demonstrated with her foster brother it would be best to have at least one current dog that she can take cues from, and a fenced yard to explore and keep her safe.
Arya is being fostered in Bentonville, AR, and is spayed and fully vaccinated. At 7 months old she currently weighs 26 lbs.
