Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We do not adopt dogs from phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR web site. Thanks for that.
To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "pending home" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.
There is an adoption fee of $250 for this dog.
Shorty is a delightful and charming boy and so far very housebroke when asking to go potty.
He was a transfer from another rescue and cannot do younger kids so teenagers and above please. I do not know why they got him originally.
His only glitch he is loud in a dog crate when we first crate him at night. Of course we ignore his demands and yelling and off to bed we go. He is learning yelling and whining gets him zero so he is getting completely crate trained here because the dogs are not in charge here.
I had volunteer dog huggers today and he was asking for belly rubs and was amazingly charming. Very smart dog as well so I know anyone who adopts him will love him. He looks more dachshund and acts more dachshund in person so I am guessing maybe 1/4 chihuahua but still two pushy breeds together so he will need an alpha person in his new home who will not allow him to get away with murder. Once he met alpha people here has turned into a delightful boy but he would take over in his new home if someone allows that.
I am still testing on dogs but do far so good. No cats.
You will need a fenced yard to adopt from us.= and preferably a dog buddy around his size.
