Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pookie (black fur) and Chico (white fur)! This wonderful senior bonded pair is looking for a nice quiet place to live out their golden years together. This pair have lived together all their lives, Pookie is 14 yrs old and Chico just turned 15! Both are amazingly spry and active, but can also be the perfect couch potatoes. They had previously lived with an owner who could not take them on a move out of state, so we scooped them up to help them find a soft place to land. Chico helps Pookie navigate the world, which can sometimes be a little overwhelming to this shy, gentle soul. So where you find one, the other is not far behind! They have both been completely vetted, and received their dentals. Blood work on both looked very good, it does show very early signs of slightly elevated kidney values which we would expect in our senior population. Their heart and lung exams were great and neither currently require any meds. Their former home had them pee pad trained, but they have done very well with frequent scheduled potty breaks outside! Both are very easy to handle, and while Pookie is a much better walker , Chico loves to be carried everywhere! Chico has recently been diagnosed with a collapsing trachea - which is both common and treatable. He does extremely well with a medication that suppresses his cough and manages his exacerbation when needed. Their ideal home would have minimal steps - as they are somewhat limited on their abilities to hop up stairs. These 2 neutered males have done great in our foster's home which has several large male and female dogs. We hope someone out there will consider not one but TWO constant companions!
