Breed: Great Pyrenees/ Adoption fee is $300 / Sex: Female/ Age: 1 year / Weight: 62 pounds
Stella came to us after her owners could not care for her anymore. They could not keep her contained and therefore had to give her up. She has not been with us long so we are not sure of her personality quirks and habits. We think she will fit into any home but we need to make sure the yard is secure for her so she isn't running around like a mad woman again.
House Manners: She is house broken.
Basic Training: She walks well on a leash. Knows sit
Other Dogs: Stella did fine with other dogs in her previous home.
Cats: Previous owners state she did well with cats.
Kids: Stella lived with children and did fine.
Fencing: Stella will need a completely secure border fence. She was an escape artist in her past home and was getting out of both 4ft and ft fences. She does not jump over them rather than find a way to squeeze through them.
The adoption fee is $300.This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration , and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance .
Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption:
We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information.
We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womers after leaving our care.
