My story

Big, beautiful Roxy was surrendered to Real Time Rescue by her owner who originally adopted her from a local shelter and then kept her enclosed in an outdoor kennel 24/7 for many years. When faced with a move, Roxy was destined to go back to the shelter. Luckily she found herself a fairy dogmother in the real estate agent who stepped in and asked if we could take her under our wing instead. Roxy has been fully vetted and is now living in a foster home near the Joshua Tree area. Roxy is so grateful to have a chance at a new life- at around 7 years old, she is ready to experience the world and everything she has been missing all these years! Coming in at a girlish 98lbs, it will come as no surprise that she is very strong on leash. Having lived most of her life in a kennel, her social skills with other dogs is still a work in progress. She does best with large mellow male dogs. We will not be placing her in a home with small children, small dogs or cats. We would love to give Roxy a chance at a new life with someone who is open to doing a few meet ups. Are you the one to give this girl the love and comforts of life she’s always deserved?
