My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tinkerbell is a sweet blind dog who was surrendered to the shelter by an owner who was no longer able to care for her. Tinkerbell is currently living in a foster home; here is what foster mom Shelly has to say about her:

"Tink is a doll! She may have a little bit of vision when it comes to light and shadows, but she is nearly 100% blind. After only a few days at our house, she learned her way around and we almost forget that she can't see. She goes up and down our back deck stairs, she learned where all of the dog beds are, and can jump onto the couch with no problem.

Tink is really great when meeting new people and new dogs, but introductions need to happen slowly. She currently shares our house with 2 other foster dogs and 3 foster kittens, and they all get along great! Tink does not like being surprised, so she will occasionally snap and growl at whatever dog or kitten has surprised her. Because of this, we recommend that she goes to a home without children. But if approached slowly and with plenty of notice, Tink loves attention and gets along with everyone she meets.

Tink is a younger senior; it's hard to say exactly how old, but she LOVES to play and loves toys. She would be so happy to go a home with another small dog who might like to play with her. She is very healthy and recently had a dental procedure where all but 3 of her teeth were removed, so she will need to eat a diet of soft food.

We can't say enough great things about Tinkerbell. She is cuddly, super sweet, wags her tail all the time, and loves to sit on laps and get petted. She sleeps quietly at night and is 100% housetrained. She is going to make such a great pet for some lucky family! She just needs someone to give her a chance.

If you have any questions about Tinkerbell or would like to meet her, please call or text foster mom Shelly at (530) 521-9012 (after 3:30 if on a weekday). We hope you will consider adding Tinkerbell to your family, she is such a great dog!
