Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I'm Boomer, but you can call me chicken little. I'm a 2 year old, 15 pound Papillon mix and I LOVE chickens — so much that my last family had to give me up. Small mammals and chickens are just too tempting for me to share space with. I can’t help myself! I’d love a home with a race track, or at least a fenced in yard. Tearing around the yard and letting anyone in earshot know I’m ready to play is how I like to operate (no apartments for me; they’d say I’m noisy). You also better be quick on the draw because once that front door opens, I’ll try to make a dash for it. And I’m lightning fast! I’m working on my potty and crate training, but I’m definitely a work in progress, and I gotta be honest — crates are lame. I’m an excellent leash walker and car rides are a blast, as long as we aren’t going to the vet.
I do enjoy playing with my k-9 siblings and cats are pretty cool too. If you’re ready to get rowdy, I’m ready for my forever home. Boomer is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, had a heart worm test, on heartworm preventative, had a fecal, dental cleaning, and microchipped. Boomer’s adoption fee is $325.00. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. For events calendar and adoption application please go to our website at aaprescue.org. A young dog is a 10-15 year commitment. Many dogs are surrendered to us because their owners are no longer able to care for them due to their health. We try to place young dogs and puppies in active, busy families. We encourage seniors to look at age appropriate dogs
