Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zach is a very sweet & friendly boy, once he trusts you. He is neutered, current on immunizations, housebroken and crate trained. He will go into his crate when told but does prefer the outdoors. He is currently being fostered with a professional trainer.
Zach would do best in a home with no children, under the age of 15. He would thrive in a home where his family was dedicated to spending quality time with him. A large yard or pasture area would be preferable. Zach truly enjoys being outdoors with plenty of water, shade, & a large dog-gloo.
It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that Zach be placed in a home where the family has true experience working with strong herding dogs. The vet believes him to be an Australian shepherd/Great Pyrenes Mix.
His new family needs to be aware of & respect Zach being uncomfortable with children and/or people that are not very well known to him. He has Aussie stranger danger. If family is going to have visitors, Zach should be kept in his crate or allowed to enjoy quiet time, outdoors.
Zach really is a stunning and loving boy and will thrive in the right home that can give him the guidance and tools that he needs. If you think Zach is a good fit for you, please fill our our application.
