Fergie arrived in foster care after weeks on the streets of Denton. Frail from malnourishment she immediately curled up with her co-foster, Prada (now adopted) and slept for days. Finally in a safe place she has flourished into a healthy, alert and loving dog. Even-tempered and highly intelligent with the classic pointing stance of all great English Pointers, she's smaller in stature but big on affection. Fergie is not inclined to be dominant, protective or vocal. She's fine with other dogs and children but should be introduced slowly to cats. Unlike most Pointers she could be happy as a solo dog since it's human company she loves. A quick walk around the block each day is all the exercise she needs to keep her new muscular physique in good condition. Fergie is crate trained, housebroken, knows the dog door but also 'dances' at the door to be let out. She's learning basic commands and walking on lead very well. Swim lessons are next!
