My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wilma! She is a 5-year old, 20lb beagle who *may* be pregnant. She sees the vet tomorrow (and we'll let you know) Meantime, she seems to be housebroken. She is very sweet and loves people. Her foster says 'she follows us around the house and yard, and also runs to the fence when she sees our neighbors outside with tail wagging. Very little barking - mostly just at door to let us know she wants back inside. She has no interest in our cats and the cats have been sleeping in same room as her sometimes - no issues. We have a guinea pig that she is VERY interested in, so we've had to keep them separate. Our dogs are more than twice her size and super energetic - she has shown no aggression, but is not interested in playing with them. I think if they were a bit calmer she might be interested. She is very good at communicating with them with just a slight growl to leave her alone. My one dog doesn't take cues very well and keeps trying, but Wilma never escalates above a very slight growl to say leave me be. She will make someone who wants a calm little buddy to hang with a family great dog. She hates the leash and lays down when we try to walk her with one, but we are working on that. She loves to explore the yard, so a fenced yard would be ideal.' kninerescue.com/adoption
