My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cora - Lab Mix - Female - 5.5 years - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Cora: this gorgeous blonde Lab mix girl is about 5.5 years old and a petite 45 lbs. She came into our program after being rescued after her family abandoned her. She is a little shy around new people but loving and sweet and affectionate once she gets to know you. She LOVES to swim and can managed stairs off a deck into an above ground pool and would love nothing more that a family with a pool where she is allowed to swim with her people, or play with her family in the pool. She is used to being around other dogs and cats and would do well in an active family - with or without older kids - that already has another dog of similar size that she can follow and learn from and play with to get her exercise requirements met. She also needs some patience and time learning better leash manners. She is house and crate trained and loves to be brushed and have her tummy rubbed.

10/23: Cora has been diagnosed with IHMA, which is a autoimmune disease that can be tricky to manage, she is currently doing well after a blood transfusion, multiple long term meds and very close monitoring. Cora is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and is comfortable with giving oral medications and monitoring her well being.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
