My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Personality: Sweet, attentive, loyal, independent, social butterfly
Interests: Loves to be outside smelling the wildlife, belly rubs and head pats, and meeting any and all new humans!

Health issues and fears: Slight hip arthritis for which she takes a joint supplement, afraid of thunder/ fireworks/ gunshots but can be comforted, and can be possessive of food or bones sometimes (but never toward humans!).

Her story: We adopted Cassie from a local shelter in 2012. We were told she was a basset puppy mix but she continued to grow past the size we had anticipated. She has been quite the handful over the years since she is so large and strong willed, but has settled into being a calm presence at the house. She has always preferred to spend her days outside no matter sunshine or snow. Cas deserves to live out her days around a family less chaotic than my own, however. She does just fine around kids and other pets, but I know she would enjoy more calm and quiet time around the house.
