My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful boy is approx 5-6 yrs old and weighs 48 lbs. We are not sure of his mix, he looks as if he may have some giant schnauzer in him and terrier mix. He is one of the shyest and most timid dogs we have rescued. He has a very sweet personality and calm disposition. He has no aggression whatsoever with other dogs or people, but he is a loner and even though he gets along with other dogs he has no desire to interact with them or with people. We sent him to a top notch trainer for 6 months who said he is just not interested in humans and is just happy hiding out in a safe place in the house. He does allow you to pet him and he is very well house trained and will run outside to the bathroom but will run straight back inside if the door is left open. We try and get him to spend some time outside and have him sit on the patio with the other dogs, and he will just hang out until you open the door and in he runs. He is going to need a very patient and experienced owner, we find with this type of dog it can take years for them to feel safe enough to approach you for attention. He did test positive for heart worms when we rescued him from the shelter and he was treated with the required set of injections and has been started on a monthly heartworm preventative, he is a really beautiful dog with a very expressive face and needs a home where he can learn to trust and blossom.

OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only.
