My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kingsley is just a pup, only about 10 months old who is a Miniature Pinscher and Yorkie mix. We had him when he was just a tiny pup and he recently came to us from his original adopters who were moving and could not have a dog in their new home.

This little guy apparently led a secluded life with a very quiet family. Kingsley is having a hard time adjusting to being given up, fitting in a new house and meeting new people. This little guy will need patience in any new home, but once he settles in he will make a very lovely addition to the perfect household.

Kingsley had a young person in his former home but will need any children he lives with to be at least 12 years or older as he can be a bit nippy right now (not a biter though). For some reason he does not like men either, being a bit growly at them, so any men in the household will need to prove themselves to him and give him to to adjust to them.

Kingsley needs someone who will love him and give him patient encouragement to help him become the dog he was always meant to be.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
