This is my little buddy Bailey. He just turned three years old, and he loves to snuggle on the couch and run around the yard. Last fall, I got a new Lab puppy, and he was not happy. As the puppy has grown, the antagonism between them has become dangerous for Bailey. We had to go to the vet for stitches after a conflict over a stick. The wound has healed, but the hair on his head hasn’t grown out yet.
We just experienced a failed adoption because Bailey behaved as though he was afraid of the person who adopted him, wouldn’t go for a walk, and wouldn’t relieve himself outside. The only thing I can surmise is that he has not been around men, and was just afraid of the kind gentleman who tried to give him a new home. I believe he needs a home with a single female who has no other pets.
I will keep Bailey until I find him an appropriate home because I love him. He was rescued as a puppy, so I’m the only person he’s had in his life. He needs a safe and loving home.
