My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ivan and Precious – two sweet kitties looking for a new forever home. Ivan and Precious were taken in by Valley Dogs ‘Vets and Their Pets’ program for a veteran who was looking for different housing. During that time, the veteran became ill and eventually went to an assisted living facility where he is unable to take his kitties. Sadly, he will not be able to care for them any longer and asked us to find them a good home.

Ivan is a beautiful grey boy, about 3-4 years old we think. He is pretty mellow, very quiet, mostly aloof with other cats (only has one cat that he considers his friend), so he doesn’t need to be in a home with other kitties. He will do fine with other cats after a proper introduction, as long as he can have his own space. He is very affectionate once he is comfortable, and is a big guy – weighing in at 15 pounds (not all muscle). He has a bit of a deformed ear from a previous infection of some sort that likely went untreated. It does not cause problems, and we think it gives him character! Ivan is neutered, current on vaccinations, negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped.

Precious is a very sweet little tabby and white girl, and very petite - just the opposite of her giant brother. We think she is about 9-10 based on conversations with her previous owner, but have no records to determine her age. She is not fond of other cats, would be happiest in a home where she is the sole recipient of all attention, but can coexist with another kitty or kitties that will respect her space. Precious also had an infection that significantly affected her ears. Both she and Ivan were treated upon intake, but the scarring and damage had already occurred. She will require regular ear cleaning (once a month or more), which she doesn’t like, but will tolerate if she gets lots of love afterwards. This slight deformity just makes her even cuter! Precious is spayed, current on vaccinations, negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped

Both Ivan and Precious would make wonderful family members. Although Ivan and Precious were in the same household, they are not bonded and can be adopted to different homes.

We would love to see them find their new forever homes! Could that home be you? If you are interested, please fill out an adoption interest form at www.valleydogs.org or email adopt@valleydogs.org.
