My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

 
This is Sam, a dachshund who came to us as an owner release. Sam arrived with a swollen hind leg, which was seen and treated by the great doctors at North Airline Animal Hospital. Sam is estimated to be around 5 years old and weigh around 12 ½ lbs.

Sam is such a terrific little guy. Despite being in pain when he came into rescue, Sam has kept giving love and happiness to his foster mom since arriving, and is affectionately known as Sam I Am. With his long body and flying ears, he is quite entertaining running around the yard and playing with the other pups in the foster home. His leg has healed with antibiotics and he is doing just fine now.

Sam is kennel trained and house-training is a work in progress. He is heartworm negative, up to date on shots and neutered. Sam is still a bit on the shy side, so would probably do best in an all adult home or one with older children. Please share and let’s find Sam a home that will enjoy and love him.

Our adoption fee for most pups/dogs starts at $250, which includes current, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, a free wellness exam, and by 5 months of age, spay/neuter with rabies vaccine at Robinson Rescue in Shreveport, LA.

Once we receive your adoption application, our Board will review it and get back to you as soon as possible. In some cases we are overwhelmed with applications, so please be Patient with us. we are Volunteers.. Once your app is approved we then require a nonrefundable deposit of $100.00 of the adoption fee, which will hold the puppy/dog until placement.
