Willow is a sister to Rosa, though the two are not bonded. They are just over one year old and between 50-60 pounds. Willow is a little darker brown than Rosa. The girls were spayed and updated on shots in early March. They were surrendered to ARF by owners who had a large farm where Rosa and Willow were allowed to run and play. However, they didn't stop at their property lines and decided it was a fun game to chase the neighbor's cows. They didn't hurt the cows, but the farmer didn't like their game of chase. The owners of Rosa and Willow couldn't bear the thought of them spending their lives locked in an outdoor kennel, so they were surrendered to find alternate placement for them. Both will need a little leash work, for they haven't experienced leash walking while on the farm. Willow will actually crawl when she is put on a leash, but these girls are very smart and will learn quickly. They have interacted with children about 5 and 6 years old, and both dogs did fine with the children. Rosa and Willow have been outside dogs unless the weather turned very cold, and then they slept in the garage. Though they can't be said to be house trained, they did not potty in the garage when they slept inside. Both dogs love attention and love to be with people. They want to lean in, sit by your side, and be petted. Willow, however, has some resource guarding issues and doesn't like to share. That includes her food, bed, blanket, water, etc. For that reason, she might be happier as an only dog so that all her things would clearly belong to her. She will walk with other dogs or meet dogs while walking and be fine. She also met cats without incident..These young dogs are pretty and healthy and love human contact. They are just two country girls looking for love! Who has some love to share?
