My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Rouse. I am approximately 3 years old, a female lab and weigh about 70 lbs. I am spayed and have all of my vaccinations.
I wish I could speak human so that I could tell you my story… how I ended up so sick and skinny on the streets of TJ. There I was, with respiratory problems, anemia, bad skin… yep… I was a real mess! And then my rescuers found me… that was the first day of the rest of my life… and oh what a wonderful day that was! Right away they began the treatment and medications that I needed to be healthy, happy and ready for my forever home.
I overheard my rescuers saying that I am a gentle and sweet animal and am very intelligent (and that's true!). I love taking long walks and showering affection on my humans. I get along well with other animals, but to be honest, I’m a little shy at first, so I’d prefer it if you’d introduce them to me little-by-little. I’ll need a fenced in yard and an active family, one that will share my love for the outdoors.
So yes, I have a past… one I’d like to forget. Together we (my new family and I) can create a new life that will bring us the joy that we both richly deserve.
