My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boxer is a young male cat with a short, brown tabby coat. He likes to play with string toys and chase a laser pointer. Since being in our care, he has become friendly and curious. Boxer is very gentle and loving and always comes when called.

Prior to coming into our care, Boxer had not known many people. When he arrived at his PPAH foster home, he was pretty shy. After about a week, the foster mom was able to pet and play with him. Since spending the last several weeks at the Windy Kitty Cat Cafe, Boxer has had the chance to meet and interact with many new people, and has decided that he really likes humans as well as the love and attention that they lavish upon him. Not only does Boxer love his caretakers at Windy Kitty Cat Café, they love him too. This is what one of the proprietors has to say about Boxer, “"Boxer is a gentle and loving boy who may be the friendliest cat Windy Kitty has met. He loves people and will meow for ear scratches and forehead kisses. He loves bathrooms, high shelves and watching television, especially bird videos! Boxer loves other cats and is our one cat welcoming committee. He never met a cat he didn't like. He wants to be friends with everyone from kittens to seniors and instinctively knows the correct level of play for each cat. He listens to cues and is never rough. He does well with children but may need patience in a particularly loud and active environment.

I have no doubt that we have such a relaxing environment because of Boxer. There have been a few cats who were too overwhelmed by Windy Kitty, but he is so eager to introduce himself ! He just somehow knows whether or not a cat wants to be friends. I don't believe in having a "house" cat since I want them all adopted, but after meeting Boxer I can understand why some other cat cafes do. He would be perfect for the job!"'

Boxer came in to our care with two siblings. They were recently adopted, but Boxer really enjoys the company of other cats. For this reason, he must be adopted with a friend or into a house with a companion cat. He has not been exposed to dogs; but we think Boxer could probably get used to a cat-savvy canine.

Visit Boxer at The Windy Kitty Cat Cafe. Due to current COVID safety measures, Windy Kitty requires a reservation. Please make your reservation at www.windykittychicago.com.
