Miss Nala was surrendered to us on 5/11 & is looking for her 3rd & final furever home in Utah.
This sweet pittie mix is about 1 year old, 55 lbs, housebroken, crate trained, doggy door trained, knows basic commands & is a great leash walker!
Nala is a very affectionate, wiggly girl once she gets to know you & accepts that you are not going to do her any harm. She is weary & afraid of people at first & takes some time to adjust & say hello as she has not met many people in her short life. Her introductions are on her terms & you must be patient & understanding of this. She is growly, has a deep bark & retreats upon being introduced to a new person but has never been forwardly aggressive. Thankfully, she is very treat motivated & this will help with the adjustment period.
She does have a "pittie whipper tail" & has cut it open hitting it on her crate when she's excited. She also seems to have a slight aversion to being grabbed by the collar but doesn't seem to mind her feet or anything else to be touched.
She did very well on her dog test & lived with a lovely male dog (Koda - pictured) who was also surrendered to us & is looking for his 3rd & final home too. She could also do well with a dog-savvy cat as she did well on her cat test too!
Nala did live with a younger child in her previous home but she has not been kid tested with us, although we believe she could definitely live with older, dog-savvy children that would also respect the time it took for her to warm up.
Nala is spayed, UTD on vaccines & is microchipped.
