My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mira is a Texas girl with a big spirit despite having some rougher days prior to rescue!

She is friendly with people and may need a second to warm up to men, but it does not take her long to learn she can trust them too! Mira has not been fully introduced to other dogs but she is showing to be friendly with the male dogs. Given her confidence she would probably not love having another female dog around right now. We do not know her behavior with kids or cats so those homes cannot be considered at this time. Mira has medium energy and loves going on walks and hikes to explore the outdoors. We will learn more about her medically soon but we do know she has hair loss due to malnutrition and we expect her to make a full recovery once she reaches her healthy weight. Mira is east of Dallas now and if she'd love to stay in Texas but if the right home is in another state she is willing to move!

Unfortunately Mira is Heartworm Positive so she will need a medical foster during her treatment.

DC Dogo’s is a breed specific rescue dedicated to saving Dogo Argentino’s.
Before applying/inquiring please do your research on the Dogo breed, so that you better understand the breed in which you are applying for. Thanks!
