My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas**

Hi! I'm Kirby! I am so excited to meet you. I like to run and play and train and chew on bones...basically I like to be active. Are you the active family I've been waiting so patiently for?

Do you want to know more about me? I was emaciated when I was rescued with a traumatic head injury and tied to a sign. The people who were standing by me said that I was aggressive, but I haven't shown any aggression to anyone at the kennel, even after all the pain I've been in, so...take that as you will. Then, after being rescued, it was discovered I had a burn all down my back and my skin was sloughing off. So, it's been rough. But I'm all healed up now and just need a little sunscreen when I'm out during the day. Easy peasy!

I'm really hoping to get out of this kennel and into a home I keep seeing my friends move off to. If you like running or biking or hiking or taking long walks, I'm your guy. Please apply for me.

Kirby has gotten along with other large dogs at the kennel, but if there is a dog in the home, a meet 'n' greet is a must. Kirby is a big, athletic boy and would do best with kids over 12.
