My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyson #5845 is a handsome 2-year-old chocolate Lab. He is a friendly, fun-loving goofy boy! He is house and crate trained. He is smart and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down, paw and go get it, to retrieve. He LOVES playing fetch with frisbies and enjoys chew toys. He has lived in a home with children ages 7 and 17. He is treat-motivated. We are working on leash etiquette- he is strong and needs some more training not to pull. He is very active and energetic. His ideal home has a big fenced in yard to play and exercise in, or an active adopter with working breed experience who can provide and understands his need for daily exercise/playtime and mental stimulation. He seems to be good with other dogs and would probably do well with another dog who matches his size and energy level. We recommend a meet and greet with existing dog, if there is one already in the home. He rides well in the car. He is a very nice dog who would make a great addition to an active family. Tyson weighs 65 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
