Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baxter is a 3-year-old boxer/retriever mix that we adopted from KC Pet Project in December 2019.
He is house-trained and knows how to sit, shake, and speak. He prefers to be left to roam the house while you are gone and can be left unattended for 8-9 hours without issue. He also enjoys playing fetch and tug of war. He can lounge around the house or go on a long walk to explore the neighborhood.
We don't know how he interacts with cats but is very dog social. He loves to walk up and great other people and dogs.
The reason we are looking to rehome him is altercations with our other dog. Our other dog gets too excited and jumps excessively, and there are instances where they will fight. He would be best fit as a single dog household or with other dog(s) that are more calm or passive. He engages in resource guarding with his food but is very treat motivated and takes treats well. He is a loyal and low maintenance companion.
