We adopted Jaxson from the Kentucky Humane Society as a puppy. We needed a friend for our existing dog who had just lost her long term best friend. When we met Jax, he was (and is) a very energetic and happy puppy who loves to run and play. Based on his size as a puppy, we thought that he would be about 40 lbs and be more Labrador than anything else. When Jaxson started to grow up, we started to see signs of Great Dane in him, and he quickly outgrew our other dog and he is now at 75 lbs and is very tall. He and our other dog now do not get along that well, which is why we are looking for a new home for him. Where our other dog is starting to slow down slightly, Jaxson is still full of energy and loves to run with other dogs or people. He needs room to run! He is trained to sit, stay, down, wait and heel. His favorite things in the world are to be on a lap, running around or having a food bowl in front of him. He will pretty much do anything you want if a cookie is involved.
