Dub is one handsome fella! He is around 2.5 yrs old (DOB: 1/21/18) & his DNA test came back 76% American Pit Bull Terrier & 24% Staffordshire Terrier. Double has had quite the journey, he was pulled from Detroit Animal Care & Control by Misfits, & is currently in a very structured foster home where he’s blossomed & thrived & learned some much needed manners. Double loves everyone he meets, & has proven to be great with dogs of all sizes. He unfortunately is not good with kitty friends, so he will need a home without felines. Double loves toys, loves laying like a “frog-dog” & loves sunning himself on the deck :) Dub is smart & willing to learn! He does still get very excited with new situations (riding somewhere in the car, going somewhere new, meeting new human & doggie friends, etc.) so his foster mom is working with him on his etiquette & reigning in his big-puppy enthusiasm in times like those… it would be ideal for him & his new owner to compete at least 1 training course to strengthen their bond & to help Double be the best boy we know he can be. Dub is a goofy, clumsy 70-75lbs, so a home with children 13+ yrs old is needed for him. Double has quite the fan base, & is known to many… he is SO deserving of a happily ever after, & we would love to make that happen for him! Dub will need a strong, structured home - if he can land that he will truly thrive & be an awesome companion!
