My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pets Name: Chico
Fixed: Yes
Chipped: Yes
Shots: Yes, UTD
Age: Approx. 2 yrs. old
Breed: Dachshund and Chihuahua mix (Male)
Size of pet: Small, 14lbs
Heartworm status: Negative
City: Killeen
Contact info: Marie Cox on Facebook or (254)768-3097 phone number or email mariegholtz@gmail.com

Chico was found (on 15 March 2020) dragging his back leg while running across the road so he had an open wound on his foot. X-rays showed he had an old injury. His pelvic was broken in half and has not healed correctly. This has caused some nerve damage. Due to his past injury the vet said Chico had dragged his back leg to the point of over half of his foot (paw) bone gone. His foot is healed.
Chico will need a special mommy and daddy. Preferably with no young children. Due to condition to prevent further nerve damage
Chico cannot jump up due to his condition but, he loves to run and play with my other dogs. You can tell he is thrilled to have playmates. He is timid when you first meet him but once he warms up to you, you have a snuggle buddy forever. My kiddoes (dogs) share a single dog food bowl and Chico show no food aggression when he eats; oh yes, he does love his dog treats.
Chico is potty trained, he uses the bathroom outside. However, sometimes Chico’s first bowel movement of the day sometimes causes him to lose control of his stool before he makes it outside. This is no fault of his own but due to the nerve damage from his injuries.
Crate Trained: Will go in, but is not a big fan of it.
Home Alone: Chico is left out to roam the house, while I am gone.
Chico is good with any of the following
Men: Yes
Women: Yes
Kids: Yes - older children due to his injury.
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Yes
