Fiesta is an English Coonhound who is approx. 3 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She was found as a stray and no one came to claim her. Our guess is that she was a hunting dog who got away from or was turned out by her owner. Right now Fiesta is fearful of new situations and it doesn't seem like she has every lived in a house. Poor girl! She has learned to walk in and out of the house in her foster home and is sleeping in her crate at night. She can walk on a leash now but will jerk and try to run if she gets startled.
Fiesta will need an adopter who is patient and will love her for what she can become with training and time to adjust. A securely fenced in yard is a must, as she would be almost impossible to catch if she got loose. She absolutely adores other dogs and lives to run and play and romp around in the back yard! Fiesta is charming and engaged once she gets to know you. She would most likely be scared of loud, fast moving children. A quiet home with at least one other playful dog is what will make her happiest!
We believe that all dogs deserve a safe loving home who wants them. It's clear that Fiesta wasn't valued or well cared for. She is looking for a new family who knows what great companions hounds can be!
