Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rusty is a sweet and affectionate 2-year-old neutered male Doberman about 70 lbs. For Rusty life is full of wonders and it is to be shared and enjoyed with other dogs, humans, and even the oh so mysterious cats!
Rusty is playful yet calm after getting his routine daily walks and exercise. Eager to learn more, he will do really well in a home that can take him through adult dog training using positive reinforcement training methods so that he can learn all the basic commands and improve on his leash walking skills. He doesn't seem to have much experience with leash walking and can pull very hard especially when he sees another dog approaching. He needs someone to work with him and show him that not pulling is way more fun and rewarding than pulling on the leash. With practice, consistency, and patience he will become stellar on his walks.
He likes to rest and relax by his human in the house, and in his foster home, he sleeps in his crate in the bedroom at night. He is truly a great companion and a friend.
Rusty was found roaming a neighborhood along with another smaller dog. We suspect that someone dropped off both dogs in that neighborhood hoping that someone would give them a home. He is ready for his new forever home and will do best in a home with an active lifestyle that can provide him with daily exercise, playdates with well-behaved dog friends, and positive reinforcement training to make sure that no one is lost in translation. If you are interested to learn more about Rusty OR to meet him, please fill out this form: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow We will only respond to folks who submit an application as we get too many inquiries...Thank you!
