My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammy "the shadow", loves to be around people. He will most likely be in the same room as you and try to sleep next to you, protecting your from bad dreams. Though he doesn't like to sit in laps and prefers not to be picked up, he will always be keeping you company.

Sammy is playful and he gets excited for treats like pureed food tubes and gravy based foods. He can entertain himself with ribbons for hours, chasing them around and loosing track of them. Sammy also likes to play with cat nip balls.

Sammy was a solo cat when rescued, we are not sure how he is with other cats, we would consider adopting him out alone.

If you would like to meet and possibly adopt this amazing feline, contact Cindy: (773)203-0215, or email: cindy@chicagocatrescue.org

At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.

Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.

CCR adopts to homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs. We do not ship cats or kittens. No exceptions.

Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
