Meet Anise!
Her beautiful coat is a rich black like licorice and white like creamy yogurt. Anise was trapped & rescued from the streets of Azusa when a woman notified us that neighbors were abusing a cat in an alleyway. Some people would throw her raw chicken and nobody ever thought to get her fixed. They would throw rocks, turn hoses on her and chase her down with cars. It was an area heavily populated by drug dealers & late night fast food joints. Anise just wanted a safe place to sleep, good food to eat and a kind hand to pet her. Somebody had socialized her somewhere at some point...
After being trapped, she was safe, fed and fixed. Anise really came out of her shell after that, learning to trust people again. She is still learning how to play, but really enjoys being the only cat, having a caring human and lots of sweet talking and long hours of pets. She enjoys sitting on laps and sleeping in big, fluffy blankets. She "talks" and purrs really loudly once she is used to your place.. She will be shy with you the first week of being in your home until she gets used to the sounds, habits and creaks of your home. From there, it's all just love and appreciation on her part.
She is a true street rescue case, a wonderful cat and would make someone a wonderful companion. Won’t you help us take her the rest of the way?
