My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT RESCUER:

Meet Tootsie! This kitten was born approximately on March 1st to a pregnant mom who was rescued off the streets by a wonderfully kind woman who contacted The TNR Project. She didn’t know what to do, so we set her up with a very large dog crate, prepared mom and 2 days later, Tootsie was born! The woman had to travel, so a wonderful volunteer of ours stepped up to take mom and babies for a week. The woman was caught where she was at when the pandemic hit and could not make it back home. Our awesome volunteer kept mom & babies healthy, safe and warm and began the socializing process. The mama cat (Layla) was a sweet girl with no microchip, no home & no response to flyers posted.

Tootsie grew up in the volunteer’s home with love, a couple dogs, lots of playtime & naps, along with her siblings. She is almost ready to move into her new home with her brother, Chef. We are adopting them as a pair. They are great with the litter box, love to wrestle, love to snuggle and love to EAT!

* Date of Birth: March 1st (approx 8 weeks old)
* Color/Breed: Black & White
* Eye Color: Still Turning, We Think It Will Be Green
* Litterbox Trained
* Eating Solid Food
* Kitten Vaccine On Board
* Dewormed
* Flea Treated
* Nails Trimmed
* Littermates: Chef (available w/Tootsie as a pair), Layla (Mom-Also Available for Adoption)

This kitty is only available through our Foster-To-Adopt program and as a pair with her brothers, Chef.

Tootsie will be fostered by you until ready to be fixed around 4 months old. Once she is fixed, we will complete your Adoption Contract and make your adoption final. We love to get kittens into their forever homes quickly so you can experience their growing phases. Our Foster-To-Adopt program is to ensure that any kittens we find homes for are properly taken care of, have all vaccinations and are fixed when they are ready. We also want to make sure that NO kittens will be breeding and adding to our over-population problem!

If you would like to bring one of our beautiful kitties into your home, please contact us with any questions. Then, go to www.thetnrproject.org and click on Adoption Application.

Please learn how to TNR- Trap.Neuter.Return. Sterilize...Don’t Euthanize! Help us take & KEEP the population down and make a difference on the streets. Thank you for rescuing!!

THE ADOPTION DONATION: This allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for their spay/neuter/shots/deworming/flea meds/microchip so they can find their forever home! We also offer a 2-for-1 adoption special so our fosters can go in pairs for less anxiety. We have a 2-week trial so we make sure it's a good fit!

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
1. Please go to our website: www.thetnrproject.org
2. Click on Adoption Application to begin the process

ADOPTION PENDING: If You See "Adoption Pending" on a kitty, please don't be discouraged! Things happen, adoptions fall through, people change their minds and we'd love to have you as a back-up in case this happens! Please fill out an application and let us know you want to be on our waitlist!

TRUE NO-KILL: Want to help us take our local shelters to real "no-kill” status? Learn about TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)! We rescue cats & kittens that are born, unwanted, abandoned, suffering, trying to live on the streets, starving, breeding, suffering & dying. We spay/neuter the adults and return them to their communities. The kittens are fostered and adopted into loving homes for a better life. We do not pull from shelters. We prevent cats & kittens from flooding the shelters & rescues. For more information on TNR or to learn how you can help your community cats, please visit The TNR Project website or look for a local group in your own community. Thank you for rescuing & making a difference!
