My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Calypso! I'm a sweet calico girl, I'm around 4 years old and I've finally begun my hunt for my forever home!

I've been with my foster family for a while now, and I've definitely blossomed and come into my own during that time. You see, my original owners dumped me in a church parking lot and I happened to be found by some nice people who work in animal rescue-- which is good because I really didn't have the skills to be an outside cat, having grown up only indoors.
I love getting attention and will greet you with meows and little yells at the door when you get home! I also like to keep you company on the couch and will often fall asleep next to you while you're watching TV, or come to bed with you when it's bedtime! I like getting pets, but will let you know if I need a break and will go off and do my own thing for a while.

I definitely gravitate to people the most, but I do well with other cats and dogs as long as there aren't too many animals!

Really I'm looking for someone who can get to know me and understand my likes and dislikes. Generally I'm pretty easy going, but sometimes things can be a bit overstimulating so I need a family who can understand that and respect that boundary and just give me a chance to settle down again, because I always do.
I would probably do best with someone who has owned cats before, and understands the meaning of 'tortitude'-- I'm not a dog-like cat, but I'm a good girl and I still need love, even if it's a little bit more on my own schedule than it might be for another cat!

In terms of toys and the like-- I'm definitely an 'up' cat. I absolutely love cat trees and love being up high where I can see everything that's going on around me! I don't mind wet food but it isn't a make or break it kind of thing for me!

If you're interested definitely let the rescue know and they'll get you in contact with my foster parents!
Love,
Calypso
