Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi (lick lick), my name is Coco and I'm 3 1/2 years old. My former family got me when I was just a baby, but my human dad developed allergies to my fur so they brought me to my foster mom. I've been with my foster mom for about 2 months and during that time I've gotten used to my daily routine. I LOVE to play! I often get excited and forget how big and strong I am but I'm working on learning to play more gently.
I love all the humans I meet, and just want them all to play with me. I'm don't like other dogs, especially if they start barking at me. When I'm in my yard I like to chase bugs, especially the flying ones, and I'm really good at catching them. The neighborhood squirrels and cats think it's fun to come into my yard and tease me. You think they would learn when I chase them up the trees.
I grew up with kids, and my foster mom has her grandkids over sometimes. In my enthusiasm to interact with them I forget how big I am so I'm not allowed to play with them. My foster mom is helping me to learn to be polite when we take our walks, I get really excited and sometimes pull too hard.
I look foward to finding a new, forever family and home. I need a safe, spacious fenced yard where I can run and play. I love to dig, so a sandbox or another area that I can dig and not get my family upset would make me so happy. I don't like to be left alone for long, at least not until I'm used to my new home.
If you think you can give me the home, love, routine and structure that will help me thrive, and love you back, please contact my foster mom.
Everyone in the neighborhood tells me how beautiful I am, I love the attention!
ARMAC would prefer adopters with Akita experence or experience with large, dominant dogs.
