Sweet and fluffy Nelson is a darling guy. He loves being outside and hanging out with his foster dog siblings. Nelson is very friendly with new people and enjoys quiet pats and scratches. He came to us from the local shelter with suspected distemper. He had respiratory symptoms and chewing gum seizures. Distemper is a deadly disease and most dogs do not survive. We thought Nelson's symptoms would progress and that we would have to let him go, but Nelson had other plans. Now, almost a full year later, Nelson is still going strong and by all accounts is a happy little guy. He does still continue to have continuous mild chewing gum seizures, but they do not appear to interfere with his adventures or seem to cause him pain or discomfort. We've decided that Nelson should not be short-changed. He can find the right person to love and who will love him in return.
