Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sonny is a sweetheart who loves to play tug of war and enjoys long walks. He can be a strong puller, which is something he is currently working on. All dogs are his friends, and he enjoys playing with them, but he prefers playmates around his own size, so he would do best in a home with an active dog, not a very small one. He thrives when he has someone to play with. Sonny loves napping on the floor or his favorite spot on the couch, and he`s a big fan of peanut butter.
Sonny is a smart boy who loves to learn and proudly shows off his knowledge of `Sit,` `Shake,` `Catch,` and `Down.` He`s always ready to learn something new, and training and playing games are his favorite ways to bond with new people. He has done well in calm environments where there is structure, and he loves knowing what to expect next.
With slow, proper introductions, he may do well with dogs of similar size but he shouldn`t live in a home with cats. We recommend a home without children, as he is sensitive to touch and rough handling. However, Sonny enjoys a good snuggle with familiar people, and he won’t always wait until you sit down—he`ll stand between your legs to get his daily dose of affection.

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.
Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.
Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.
Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
