Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTE: If this profile is available for you to see on this site, then the pup IS still available for adoption. We update our profiles daily.
Sweet Lacy is a 6-year-old Chi-Terrier Mix. When Lacy came to us, she came with 2 other friends who were her street pack. Neighbors had seen the pack living on the streets for months. Week after week, the sweet pups endured the cold conditions of the winter, however, it was the heavy rains that led them to a family who could no longer see them living in those horrible conditions. ⠀
⠀
The family shared that seeing strays living on the streets is a common sight in their neighborhood. Usually, they would take the stray to the shelter, however, due to current quarantine situations, the shelter is closed and not accepting any pets whatsoever. ⠀
⠀
The family housed and cared for the pack for several days until they were no longer able to accommodate them in their limited size home. ⠀
⠀
Thankfully, we were able to help these little heroes as a result of several SCARS squad heroes that volunteered to care for them after they received medical care and vetting. They were severely malnourished, covered in ticks/fleas and their coats had to be completely shaved off. ⠀
⠀
Little Lacy was extremely underweight and will still need to gain more weight per our vet’s recommendation. She is sweet, affectionate, and struggles with separation anxiety. Lacy will do best in a home with another pet and with an experienced adopter that will continue to help her overcome her transition challenges. ⠀
⠀
She bonds quickly and is great with children, dogs, and loves cuddly humans. ⠀
⠀
If interested in Lacy, please submit an Adoption Interest Application; found on our website under forms www.jointhescars.org. ⠀
⠀
PLEASE READ: Traditionally, we personally respond to each submission received. However, due to the current high volume of applications/adoptions, you will receive an acknowledgment/receipt email of your submission. ⠀
⠀
Because we know each of our heroes personally and know the best setting for them to thrive in, we will ONLY contact applications that best match their requisite needs. ⠀
We thank you in advance for your interest to adopt one of our heroes and for your patience through the process.
Thank you for choosing to rescue!
