See that sweet chunk of love up there...that's me Heidi. Mom says being called a sweet chunk of love is not a bad thing and that I fit that description to a "t". I was recently surrendered to rescue when my owners had to move. But no worries, I have enjoyed meeting all of the nice rescue people along the way of looking for my forever home. My vetting paperwork says I am 6 years old...but Mom thinks I am more like 7 or 8 years young. Please do not let the gray face fool you...I have more spunk and sprite than most of those young whipper snappers do. After addressing some of my underlying health issues, nothing that will cause me anymore concern, I am ready and waiting for my forever home. I enjoy all my hound brothers and sisters, all though Mom says I am an "Alpha" personality and have to have things my way or no way...what classy old lady doesn't, right?? Once they learn to respect my space we are good to go. I ADORE the little 2 leggers around here, you know the kids. I let them roll on top of me and play with my ears...no problem. Mom says I am supposed to let everyone know I am on D-I-E-T, I personally do not see the point in sharing such personal info but I suppose, I am around 10-15 lbs over weight but doing really really well at loosing that...3 lbs down already. So any new forever home I go to they will have to help me in my weight loss challenge. I am house trained UTD on all vaccinations, HW tested - and on monthly preventative and altered. If you would like to know any more about me please just contact Mom and tell her Heidi sent you...please contact Jess'e:
jessie@houndshavenbassetrescue.com or call 515-961-0158 AFTER 5 pm...thank you!!
UPDATE FROM MOM:
Heidi has lost a great 10 lbs....now that she is getting that hour glass figure back she is back to strutting her stuff and ready to find a new home of her own! We have learned that while humans are present Heidi tolerates cats, but when left alone with them she does what her breed is known to do and hunts them. Therefore she can't go to a home with cats!! Her bubbly personality is a hoot & she is truly the life to any party she can start!!
HEIDI'S ADOPTION FEE IS $175.00 **THIS HELPS OFFSET SOME OF THE MEDICAL EXPENSES HEIDI HAD DONE**
**Please note all adoption fees are tax deductible and go to help offset the costs of the dogs vetting**
Adoption Information:
Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested!
