Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Lilah was abandoned by people she thought she could count on. She was left outside without food or water for a week before someone who could help her finally came and got her. Luckily, she went straight to an amazing foster home after her rescue where she is thriving, despite having big changes in her life. Here's her foster mom's description and list of the things Lilah would like in her forever home:
Personality traits
1) very shy /scared at first for new things but once she is used to it she is more comfortable
2) can be spooked by sudden changes but pulls back to normal quickly
3) extremely cuddly and prefers to act like a big lap dog
4) a lot of puppy energy once she is comfortable and loves to play with all dogs on a leash/ dogs her size or smaller off leash in a dog park
5) loves squirrels
6) loves chew toys, bones, and tennis balls. A real fetch contender!
7) crate and house trained
Ideal home
1) suburban home
2) adult only or teenagers (small kids may make sudden movements that scare her, although I think its something she could get used to)
3) yard would be better for her but she has been okay walking on a leash at my apartment so not a deal breaker
4) another dog would be okay but not necessary
5)someone with patience to help teach her not to be scared and allow her time to settle in appropriately
6) would be great with someone looking for a running or hiking partner
