My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet tucker is approx 7 years and 22 lbs. He was an owner surrender. He was adopted as a puppy. The owners had another dog that they also had owned a long time and they suddenly did not get along so Tucker was given up. He looks like he may have some whippet or italian greyhound in him and terrier. He has very long legs, with very pretty coloring, he is a little shy but warms up very quickly. He is house trained and his foster says he walks well on a leash and gets along with the other dogs. He is very easy going.. He loves to run and play and loves people, he has a very nice disposition and personality and will make someone a wonderful companion.

OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 8, and experienced dog owners only.

WE REQUIRE TWO YEARS OF VETS RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER

The total adoption fee of between $550 (CT, NY, PA) and $675 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper and canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
