Hello there,

My name is Axel, I came to the rescue after I was born to a life outdoors. When I came to my foster home, I did not trust people. To me, they were very scary. But my foster parents didn't give up on me, they worked with me for many months to get me to trust humans. Now I really enjoy pets and cuddles from humans that I know.

With work and time, I have learned to trust and love people. I like to have the base of my tail scratched and I love to have my head rubbed. I lean in for cuddles and everything. With a new person, it may take me a little to warm up, but I will!

I get along great with other cats. I may do ok with a very mellow dog. I need a home without kids as they make me a little nervous. I have perfect litter box habits and use my scratching posts. I love the cat tower in my foster home!

I am neutered, FIV and FeLV negative and ready for a home of my own! Axel is being fostered in Kalamazoo, please consider this before adopting as we will ask applicants to meet and adopt him from his foster home in Kalamazoo.
