Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Salem came to us as a "neighborhood" cat with kittens that were four weeks old. She is very social and enjoys the company of volunteers and visitors. She recently met a toddler and although she didn't lash out, she did go and hide. Salem may not be the best fit for young children. She has a calm, easy-to-handle personality and really just likes to lay on the cat tree and observe her surroundings. She likes cat treats and will come when the container is rattled. We don't know anything about her past but have discovered that she does not like other cats, except her kittens. She prefers to be the only queen and will let other cats know it. She has some concern when it comes to dogs but as long as the resident dog ignores her she should adjust. Salem has soft and beautiful long hair that will require occasional brushing to keep it from matting. She is a very sweet cat and is patiently waiting for a loving family to adopt her.
