Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy is an 8yo male dogo currently living in Ohio with his foster. He gets along really well with her cats! He loves going on walks but does not like being in the yard. He will go out to do business but then wants to go back in, unless going on a walk! Adores people when he's not on his territory. He would be a great pet therapy dog if he could tone down his enthusiasm several degrees. He does kiss on the first date. He does LOVE kids but we prefer a no kid home to ensure proper measures take place when people visit as he is very protective of his palace!
Buddy has decided that he likes peanut butter on his toast. Likes pizza, but prefers thin crust......watching his waistline. You won't have to wash out your cereal bowl when you are done with breakfast, Buddy will gladly do that for you!
He knows his basic commands and manners. He is a senior but doesn't act like one in regards to his health and how well he gets around.
Buddy took some time to adjust with the foster and really took it hard when his world was flipped upside down and had to leave the only family he know. He was resistant but has really come a long way. He will need an experienced adopter and one with the patience to let him trust at his pace. Buddy has found the perfect foster as the stepping stone to his next home. We would not recommend a home with children since we do not know how he is around them and given his strong mindset we think a nice home with an experienced handler is best. He is very protective of his home! Out in public he is not that way! Despite some of his quirks, Buddy proudly passed his ATTS test! This is a temperament test given by the American Temperament Test Society.
